Neighborhood Block Party Cookout
Annually the Woodlea-Melrose neighborhood association hosts a block party cookout in November. This is another wonderful opportunity to meet and greet your neighbors, eat some amazing food, listen to good music and maybe do some dancing? Each year we close down a street, set up tables and chairs, have music and an activity for the kiddos among other fun things. This is a pot luck event with the main course and water provided by the neighborhood association, so just bring a side dish to share and any other drink you desire.
This event is also the kick-off for the following year neighborhood board nominations and voting process. Also at this event we ask neighbors to bring any ideas they have for the following year Block Watch Grant. All ideas are welcomed!
As we get closer to cookout date each year, info will be given at neighborhood meeting, placed in the newsletter, posted on Facebook and an email sent. This is a fun event for the entire neighborhood and each year neighbors pitch in and volunteer to help make it happen! Want to volunteer this year? Just let someone on the board know or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you all there!
